Summary
On 21st June 2023, KTG Ayurveda medical college & Hospital conducted the 9th International Yoga day at college campus with a motto of Vasudhaiva kutumbakam. Purpose of the event was to promote awareness about Yoga practice among Ayurveda doctors, students & General public.
Event started at 7 am in the morning, Dr Chakradhar MV, In charge Principal, KTGAMCH presided the function, Chief Guest of the event Dr Tejasvi K P, Professor & HOD Department of Surgery, Anuradha Homeopathic medical college addressed the gathering about importance of Yoga to different social categories. Event was attended by teaching staffs, students, Non-teaching staffs of KTG Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital and general Public.
Yoga Demonstration & instruction as per ‘Common yoga protocol’ provided by Government of India to the gathering was done by Yoga instructed Mrs Sudha & was monitored by Dr lavanya, Hod & Associate Professor, Dpt of Swasthavritta & Yoga, Dr Akshatha Rao K L, Assistant professor, Dpt of Swasthavritta & Yoga.
Dr Mamatha Bhagavat, Hod dpt of Kayachikitsa gave a note on importance of yoga to the students. Event ended with the vote of thanks by Ms Poojitha, intern, KTGAMCH followed by refreshments.
