This includes the eyes, ears, nose, throat, teeth, and head. The department emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical training in managing these conditions through Ayurvedic principles and modern techniques. The term "Shalakya" is derived from the Sanskrit word Shalaka, meaning probe, highlighting its surgical applications.
