The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is implementing an ambitious National Strategic Plan with the goal to achieve SDG End TB targets by 2025. The challenge of tuberculosis requires a multi-sectoralresponse to address the social determinants like nutritional support, living and working conditions, and an increase in access to diagnostic and treatment services.
For effective engagement of the community in the path towards ending TB in India, MoHFW is implementing the “Community Support to TB patients - PradhanMantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
1. Provide additional patient support to improve treatment outcomes of TB patients
2. Augment community involvement in meeting India’s commitment to end TB by 2025.
3. Leverage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
In this regard, KTG Ayurvedic Medical College conducted Pledge taking session to support TB muktBharathAbhiyaan by all the teaching staff, students and interns on 28/01/2025. Also Rally was organized on 30/01/2025 near our college to raise awareness among the citizens about Tuberculosis.
